Comfort is an entrepreneur, a mother and grandmother of two amazing children and a beautiful granddaughter. She has a track record of high-performance sales in Beauty and Fashion, Insurance and Real Estate Agent. She attributes her business success to her lifelong resilience in transforming her life story against the odds. Comfort is currently writing a book, Arranged Marriage: Dilemma of an African Girl, that features empowering stories about her life and her culture. She had recently created an inspiring online course on improving self-love.
Comfort Rexford is the owner of ConnieLove. She has a course named ‘A Journey to Self Love’ and an ebook ‘The Art of Love: Turn the Chain of Pain into the Chain of Love’ and also has a second book coming out in March titled Arranged Marriage: Dilemma of an African Girl.

Gratitude Girls’ Professional Journey
Laurie and Kathryn, also known as the “Gratitude Girls,” shared the story of their professional friendship and partnership, which began at a direct sales company convention. They met on stage and instantly connected, leading to a decade of joint projects including a book and a podcast. They emphasized the importance of trusting the process and the power of gratitude. Later, Comfort, an entrepreneur and author, joined the discussion.
Resilience and Gratitude: Comfort’s JourneyComfort shared her personal story about resilience, detailing her journey from an arranged marriage in Africa to a successful career in the US. She emphasized the importance of gratitude and perseverance, noting that she left her husband with $50 and two children, determined to show her daughter that hardship does not dictate one’s future. Despite not having the support of her family, Comfort remained focused on her goal and managed her challenges one day at a time.
Writing Journey to Successful Book: Comfort shared the journey of writing his book, which was a project born over 20 years ago. He revealed that he and his son wrote about 12,000 words initially, and then he and his daughter wrote over 40,000 words in 2016, which eventually became the book. The discussion was a part of a larger conversation about success and the steps that lead to it. The conversation concluded on a note of anticipation, with Comfort excited for the book’s upcoming sale.
Arranged Marriage Experience Shared: Comfort shared her experience of an arranged marriage, explaining that her family had set her up with someone from his family. Although she initially resisted, she eventually agreed to the marriage, but it didn’t work out due to a lack of common interests and compatibility. Comfort explained that in her culture, arranged marriages are traditional and often involve financial considerations, with the expectation that the girl will support her aging parents. Despite pressure from her family to return to her husband, Comfort chose to leave the marriage when she was ready. She also clarified that she didn’t seek permission for the divorce, underlining her determination to make decisions about her own life.
Life Experiences and Gratitude: Laurie and Comfort discussed Comfort’s life experiences and the courage she has shown in her struggles. Comfort expressed her gratitude for her family, particularly her granddaughter who helped her edit and write a book. Comfort also shared a song she had written about her experiences. Towards the end of the discussion, Comfort asked Laurie and her colleague about their plans for their viewers in 2024 and about an upcoming retreat. It was revealed that their first retreat had taken place in Canada in September.
2024 Future Plans: Tours, Retreats, Coaching Sessions: The team discussed their future plans for 2024, which include organizing tours in various locations and creating personalized, customized retreats for their guests. They also explored the possibility of one-on-one coaching sessions, either over Zoom or in person in locations such as Sedona, Arizona. The conversation emphasized their focus on creating deep, intense experiences, highlighting their commitment and ability to go “all in” for their clients.
