Special guest: Eleanor Noble
Eleanor Noble is a first generation Canadian, born in Montreal. She completed Dawson College’s Professional Theatre Program, The Dome. Soon after, she hopped on a bus to do an audition tour across Canada, giving her the opportunity to perform on stages across the country. A few years later she returned home and settled there.
She has had a constant career in voice work for animation, video game, and radio, as well as theatre, film, television and commercials. She also teaches dubbing, a very specialized technique done in Montreal that perfects lip synch.
Eleanor spent 2 years in Pakistan as a diplomat working with the Canadian Embassy during a very unstable time. Upon her return to Montreal, she began working actively with her union as a council member. She has since become Vice President of ACTRA Montreal, an ACTRA National Councillor, and the Chair of the ACTRA National Women’s Committee. She has negotiated 3 collective agreements and looks forward to doing more.
She very much enjoys her continued work in her profession while advocating and fighting for broadening diversity in the industry and for safe and harassment free work environments.
